2) Will it work in a Windows environment?

Yes, the network works great with Windows 95,98,2000 or XP.

3) How secure are my files on the server, or do I need a firewall or a router?

Very Secure. File security is maintained through the configuration for private or public use.
A firewall is maintained by the server to prevent unauthorized use or entry. The server acts as a router separating the internal traffic from the external (Internet) traffic.

4) How secure are my files on my client machine?

Very Secure. No one on the network or on the Internet can access a client machine.

5) How do I backup the files on the server?

Backup of the configuration files is easy & takes just a few moments. 
All client files are stored on the server but backed up from the client.
The server supports network attached storage devices (SAMBA File Servers).

6) Do we recommend an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS)?

Yes, use of a UPS is always recommended for any computer system.

7) Do I need to know Linux to administer the system?

NO! All setup administration is done by Omega & changes are made with a web browser.

8) Is there a limitation on users or e-mail accounts?

There are no limitations. The number of ports on the hub limits the number of client computers. Hubs can be cascaded.

9) How fast is it internally & externally?

100 mbs internal & from 56K to T-1 speeds externally depending on the devices used
to connect the server to the Internet.

10) Is it stable?

Yes, it is an extremely stable system.

11) What about software upgrades? Are they included in the price? 

Yes, any upgrades are included.

12) Can I host web pages on it?

Yes. The Apache server with Front Page extensions are included with the software package.

13) What about FTP & Telnet services?

Concierge has the ability to perform FTP (File Transfer Protocol) file transfers and Telnet (remote login) services from the Internet

14) Why can't we do this ourselves?

You certainly can do it yourself. The real question is whether it is the best use of your or your company's time to learn to be a Linux computer expert.

17) Do you provide & support Star Office?

Yes, Star Office is a software package which, among other programs, has a spreadsheet & word processor compatible with Excel® and Word®.

18) How experienced are your support personnel?

Our support team has many years of computer experience. We have supported XENIX (a derivative of UNIX) for over 15 years.

Our support hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday

20) What do we need to have on site for you?

An analog phone line (for the modem).
A client computer running W95 or W98 with an open slot for a Network Interface Card. You provide, or ask us to provide, the Network Interface Card for the client machine

21) How long is the lease?

The lease is a 24 month lease with a 90 day cancellation clause. Upon completion of the lease, we will sell the server for a nominal fee, or replace the server with a renewal of the lease.

Yes, if you are not satisfied for any reason, we will refund your money.
